A distant relative of mine was keen on genealogy just before my time - her name was F. Beatrice Kneen of Ballamoar, Ballaugh. She was a cousin of the Forbes family (on the other side from us) through the Teares and her writings would suggest that some sort of connection was kept up. I believe that Ed. Forbes Jnr. came back a number of times and possibly Ballaugh was involved.
