In the 1881 census [FamilySearch.org] they are living in Cumberland, England, at 70 Trumpet Rd., Cleator, with four younger children all born in Cleator.

Peter Corkill was bapt on 19 April 1846 Maughold, son of John Corkill [farmer] & Margaret Corlett. Esther was bapt 1 April 1849 Maughold daur of Thomas Christian [labourer] & Esther. She was underage at their marriage 23 Jun 1867 and had consent of her parents.
