I am looking for information on my ancestor, Thomas John Collister, wife Mary (farmers), son Thomas Collister 1850-1877. Thomas jnr traveled to NZ and Australia around 1871, married Mary Murray in Geelong and died in 1877. I have all his details for his time in Australia but none for his birthplace Isle of Man or his travel to New Zealand. Can anyone help? I have found that it is impossible to search Isle of Man without some guideance since every second name seems to be Thomas Collister!
