I would be very grateful for any information regarding my mother - she WAS NOT born in Sydney as stated on my parents marriage certificate(29/01/1949)! (DOB:?Sept?1925 Died in Sydney Australia Dec 1960). I have tried, without success, to find any information about her other than when/where married and when/where she died. Long story short - my sister, brother & I were raised by our father's mother in a religious sect in New South Wales. Father left us in 1961 and disappeared - no trace found by any means! My reason for trying through this web site - father changed his name from Smith to Hutchison and my brother's name was Douglas. Why was Hutchison chosen and why was Douglas chosen? Both of these names appear no where else on my father's side of the family, which CAN be traced. This is a long shot and brought about by recent television programme "Coast" where presenter was on The Isle of Man mentioning Douglas as the Capital and Hutchison one of the infamous internment camps. HELP someone, please HELP as I am desparate to find out where my mother came from!
