in case everyone has not already seen it, the geograph website has good photos of most of the main churches in IOM. .. it's geograph.org.uk and search on "church isle of man" should make them appear. .. free to copy and use for your research, they told me. There are also some paths, fields etc, which may have been familiar to our people. A brilliant site for all of the UK.
