- William took the surname Archibald & was recognised as a son albeit illig.
- Would it be because John was already md that he & Ann Quayle didn't marry? I thought the Archibalds might have been easier to research as not many of that name but now it appears that this family branch is also complicated (though not as bad as the Kellys branch ! ) K
