start from what you know, check each step and work back - get your parents marr cert (or ask them) then their birth then their parents marr cert - rinse + repeat until you can find the parties in the 1911 (or easier/cheaper) the 1901 - then work back via censuses - once you have some dates from census post the dates,names etc here and see how the 'local experts' can help
