There seemed to be small clusters of Knipes on the IofM between 1700-1800. I am looking for a Thomas Knipe[born abt 1783] and perhaps a sister Eleanor. The 1841 census says that both were born in Cumberland- but they are none of the obvious ones that come up on IGI- we have come to a total brick wall. Thomas died in Maryport 7 Oct 1842 age59 yeoman. Does anyone have any Knipes in their Trees that I have not picked up on? Thanks- Bev
