am trying to research family of James Skillicorn born 1819 Isle of Man. James married Eliza Kinley in Liverpool in 1846. I have traced them on the 1851 census etc, James worked his way up from porter to Head Gateman on the Dock Railways. I have found Eliza in Liverpool in 1841 pre-marriage, and possibly James, but I do not know which branch of the Island Skillicorns he is from.
I know that Eliza is connected to the Kewleys of Lonan via her mother Isabella Kinley who married one of the Kewleys.
Would be grateful for any info.
