You may have already checked the LDS on-line 1881 census records by now, but if not, Frederick J. Christian and Catherine F. Quark are both listed in the census with their families in Bride, IOM.
According to the LDS labs pilot web site, Catherine Frances Christian, spouse of Frederick James Christian, died at the age of 95 in Victoria, British Columbia, Jan 16, 1969.
