Hi Donna & Helen,
Donna, very many thanks for the MI which answers the main stumbling block with these numerous John Corletts in Maughold, and hopefully confirms the Thalloo Mitchell line for Helen.
All b/m/bs following are from the Maughold parish register. Details are in previous messages.
We have her ancestor Daniel Corlett 1843-1877 married Annie BARRON who marr.[2] Robert Kermeen.
Daniel b.1843 son of John Corlett 1806-1883 & Margaret Corlett 1800-1872, marr.1830. [Margaret possibly daur of John Corlett & Mary Kissack bapt Maughold 26 Oct 1800.]
John b.1806 son of William Corlett 1774-1858 & Ann Cashen 1774-1860. Ann Cashen was the daur of the last John Cashen of Ballacorteen & Thalloomitchell, according to the Radcliffes. [Anne possibly daur of John Cashen & Margaret Corteen bapt 29 May 1774.]
William b.1774 son of John Corlett b.1734 & Jony Cowle d.1814 of Rhenabb, marr. 1798 Ann Cashen 1774-1860. [William moved from Rhenabb to Thalloo Mitchell. His elder brother John (b.1772) stayed in Rhenabb (married Margaret Hogg, and also had a son Daniel) - their son John and descendants stayed in Rhenabb.]
John b.1734 son of John Corlett b.c.1707 & Margery Stole. He married Jony Cowle d.1814 and had the three sons, John b.1772 (of Rhenabb), Thomas (left the IOM? or the Thos Corlett who d.1774?), and William b.1774 (of Thalloo Mitchell).
John b.c.1707, d.1737, son of Daniel Corlett, married 1729 Margery Stole, leaving an only son John b.1734. [Margery then married John Cashin.]
Daniel Corlett of Rhenabb was entered in the Manorial Roll in 1703, and died in 1716, married Marriott Skillicorn - both probably from Lonan - and had the one son John, above.
These early generations at Rhenabb come from the Radcliffes' book 'A history of Kirk Maughold'.
