This looks like the same James that Henry mentioned as there are no others around 1853.
James married Annie McAuley 1893 at West Derby Ro but it appears there was a previous marriage to Jane Ravenscroft 1879 at Everton St. Peters. She died 1892. There were also children to this marriage.
