A cousin on the Isle of Man in tracing the Knight family advised that 2 brothers named Knipe came to IOM from Scotland (or northern England) around 1700 as school
teachers to Ramsey (Ballure). In her tracing she found that in the census reports the name is sometimes Knipe or Knight, but in tracing by age and date of census they are same family. Do you have any family trees or pedigree charts on the family?
