I have been looking for a vey long time for a connection between William Joseph Moores and the McMurchie family from the Isle of Man. At last I have found it on the Family Search pilot scheme. It would appear that Jane McMurchie had a son who was christened at St Paul,s Paddington, Lancashire on 10th January 1875. His name was William Joseph Moores McMurchie. Jane then married a Alexander Muldoon in Salford in 1876. However I can still not find where he was born or where he was in 1881. I would have thought he should be in the Isle of Man at this time as he does surface in 1891 census living with his Grandmother Janet McMurchie. Has anybody any thoughts on this puzzle?
