Just looking quickly through IGI there is a marriage between a William Thomas McClure and Ann Kermode on 27 Oct 1821 at Kirk Marown, Douglas, Isle of Man. This might be his parents (as Frances has suggested). Note: Kirk Marown is a parish in its own right in the centre of the Island. The reference to Douglas is I suspect misleading.
