I was inside the concrete cooling tower while on a school Physics trip in 1958 ? The tower had been there
some years then. The inside was like a wet warm cave
covered in greenery. Health & Safety regs . would probably
not allow such a trip now. I don't remember wearing ear
defenders either near the generators.
