I am trying to sort out Robert kelly's
such a common name it seems!
Robert Edward/Henry Kelly born 28.7.1799
Robert Edward/Henry Kelly born 14.1.1838 Liverpool
were middle names registered?here in Australia Robert born 1838 registered his fathers name as Edward and mother as Jane lace. On his death cert. He had Robert only and not Edward!!does any one know how to find out if it was common to use middle names if son had same name as father. Many thanks.
