so I know now that our line can't come through Captain Charles Radcliffe and his son Thomas so there leaves Henry 1702. However I am a bit confused about him as on www.familysearch.com it has Henry then his parents and his parents going back to Samsbury Radcliffe 1594 then I read an article online I think from the Manx notebook you mention about Samsbury's line ending with no male heirs.

So I have got as far as Charles Radclife 1744 m Mary Sayle and not sure if his father is Henry or not.

Mind you, my great great Gandfather Thomas's middle name was Henry.
