Then tried to find the marriage for Marg K but no matches so tried John Ritson & got Margaret Cowley md 1821. If John had died when Jane was still a child, Marg must have remarried. I wonder why only 1 Ritson appeared when Jane was 24 in Lawson's census list ? A bit of success with familysearch anyway so thanks sincerely for your help. K
