Hi Kay
The 28 yr old John Kelly and 31 yr old wife Ann with 2yr old John looked promising from the 1851 census index. The actual image shows them to be :
Malew 2b/13
36 Malew St
John Kelly head mar 28 ag lab
Ann wife 31
John son 2
Sophia dau 9
all b Castletown.
It might be the right family, as John may have taken up the occupation of painter after 1851. Sophia age 9 is a mystery.
An IGI search of all children baptised Sophia/no surname in 1841-1843 in Castletown gives only one possibility, an illegitimate daughter of an Anne Shimmin:

(NB to answer your earlier query, if you look under "messages" in the record above, the words "extracted record" show that this record is valid because it was extracted from a parish record. The ones which don't say "extracted" may be wrong, so treat them with scepticism.)
So is the John/Ann Kelly family above the right one ? More digging required.
