The second Laura Shimmin, married to Philip Henry Faragher is perhaps the one that you are looking for. Laura was born in the Douglas/Onchan area to Philip Shimmin and Ann nee Wade. The family then moved to the Vaaish area, which I believe is near Glen Helen, although would stand to be corrected on that. She married my great grandfather's brother Philip in 1917. I have come across the two name issue before. If you look at Philip's entry on Lawson's he also has two names, that of Laura and another lady against his name. I presume the records from which the details were transcribed were unclear, for some reason, as to which marriage was which. Laura and Philip had no children. They are both buried in Marown, Laura having passed away on 9.7.74. If you go into Family Search, select Advanced Search, then select IGI from the box on the left, you can find lots of Laura's brothers and sisters, born after they moved. Enter nothing in any box bar Father - Philip Shimmin Mother - Ann Wade and then select British Isles in the country section and Isle of Man in the region, they should all pop up. One of them is Eva, actually Eva Druscilla. Eva Druscilla married Philip's brother, Samuel Alfred Faragher in 1916. They eventually milled at Garwick, and are both buried in Lonan with their infant daughter. It is understood in the family that Harry and Alfie met the two sisters when their father was milling at Glen Mooar, near to where the sisters lived, although have no way of confirming this. I am afraid I have no more information on the Shimmins but hope this is of some assistance.
