watched the television drama about the German Occupation of the Channel Isles ? The IOM was used for
filming with Castletown as the capital of Guernsey ? &
Kentraugh some miles away as the supposed Chief Minister's House taken for the German Senior Officer for
his residence. As it is hidden behind trees it cannot be
seen from the road & I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation to see it some years ago.Mr Gawne
told us , I think , he manages with one gardener but once
there were ten!!!Some people think it is the grandest house
in the island.
