During my recent visit to the Island I visited the grave of my gg grandparents Alexander Todd died 1864 and Sarah died 1890. I knew that Alexander's sister Margaret Todd was also buried there however I was surprised to see that their youngest daughter Selina is buried there as well. The stone is old and was difficult to read - this is as much as we could decipher 'also Selina youngest daughter of the above and wife of Sgt H Eade Royal artillery who died at .....ra India 4th December 1889 aged -- years'.
Selina was born 1853 so in 1889 she would have been about 36. I have found that she married Harry Eade in 1887, Stoke Damerel. I wonder when she returned to the island and would be grateful for any further information about Selina and any children that she may have had.
