My information that he was born on the island came from a cousin, but I don't know her source(s) and I can't find any supporting evidence, so thank you for finding candidates.
Next thing looks like forking out for the marriage cert to find his father.
Since his wife was buried with her parents, I have no clues as to his death. I have been contacted by someone off list who remembers him as having predeceased her, possibly in Douglas...
