Hi I am trying to trace back on family on the Chesterman side - I have found John Chesterman on the 1841 Census as being the cheif constable and later on 1851 has being a debtor - I am really confused.

It would be fantastic if anyone can shed any light to this for me or any other information. As far as I can tell he was married to Sophia Christian. I have yet to find burial records for either.
