thanks for the help, john being welsh was a big surprise,I ALWAYS THOUGHT THE FAMILY WENT BACK GENERATIONS ON THE ISLE, THE INFO I have is from the mormon web site, the names shimmin appear several times ie ann and jane, but the jones's are a bit of a mix up do you know which jones was john's father, was it edward and cath clucass, thanks again for the help jill
