Hello!

My wife is a descendant of David Corkill (1844-1934) and Cathryn or Catherine Sayle (1852-1946), who emigrated from the Isle of Man in 1867 and eventually settled in Nortonville, Kansas. I believe Cathryn was living in Isle of Man until David returned to marry her in 1885, when she joined him in Kansas.

We have quite a bit of information on David Corkill's side, but I'm trying to find more knowledge of Cathryn Sayle

I know she grew up under a step father, Thomas Teare, and that her mother was Jane (b 1819 Jurby). I'd love to hear if anyone has any information on Jane or Cathryn's biological father; I've seen her cited on webpages as the daughter of Charles Teare and Jane Goldsmith, but that doesn't seem correct, since Teare was her husband's name - not necessarily hers.
