It would be interesting to know what is on the headstone of John Skillicorn buried in Onchan Nov. 10, 1851 age 65. Looking at the memorial inscriptions for Onchan in manx notebook an Elizabeth Skillicorn (Corran) is recorded 1794 as the wife of John from Sulby. They married 1784 and IGI shows a John Skillicorn christened to John 1786.

The assumed father may have married twice since a Margaret is also mentioned.
