The above person is my maternal GGGrandfather and according to the only record I can find he was born about 1818 in Douglas Isle of Man. The record I have is the 1861 UK census when he was living in Shaws Square Bury Lancashire with his wife Catherine and children Sarah, Mary Catherine Margaret and John.
His occupation was Repairer of Beams and Scales.
The spelling of the surname I think has been misinterpreted on many transcripts of documents but I think Brennan is correct.
Can anyone throw any light on him please?
