Does anyone recognise THOMAS CORKILL born Isle of Man c.1796 who in the 1841 Census was a Coastguard (aged 45) living in Cornwall?
I am seeking any details on him in the hope that maybe he is connected in some way to
JOHN CORKILL/CORKELL who I believe came from the Isle of Man and I know was raising a family in Penzance, Cornwall, from 1802 (last child born 1822).
e.g. the IGI shows:
THOMAS CORKEL christened in 1976 Kirk German, mother ANN KELLY and father JOHN CORKEL
and
THOS CORKILL christened 1795 Malew, mother MARY CREBBIN and father THOS CORKILL
The spelling of the first and the location of the second could be of interest (tho are probably irrelevant spelling mistakes/coincidences) so again am trying to find details that can help me make connections or discount.
Thanks
