If you get a chance can you look to see if there is a marriage for John Banks to an Elizabeth
He was born abt 1799 in Lancashire she was born 1795 Kirk Michael
I cannot begin to guess when they married
They are certainly not together on the 1841 Census but they appear 1851 & 1861 living at Ballanea Kirk Michael so they may have married some time between 1841 & 1851

I think their deaths are recorded om IOMFHS
as John Mic 1868 age 69
and Elizabeth 1869 age 76
The reason I ask is because a Matilda Caine is mentioned in the will of William Quiggin an ancestor of mine
quote

Matilda Caine daughter of Daniel Caine ackowledges receipt of £30.15.10 being the amount to which she is entitled under the will of the late Elizabeth Banks of Ballanea of whom The said William Quiggen was executor
I am curious as to whether Elizabeth was a Caine before she married
