Thanks Len for your help - William did indeed move back to Cockermouth and married there. I did not know John and Ann Graham had a sone Joseph born in 1807 so thank you for this bit of information. I have struggled a little to find out just how many children they did have. As you know the first cencus was 1841 so all of their children were born well before this and had moved on. I only know of James, William, Mary and now Joseph.
