Thank you so much. That is really a fantastic help. As I can get to the Island from time to time, I try not to ask for a Look Up if I can avoid it as there are so many people out there who have a greater need of yuor wonderful help, but this was one where I was tearing my hair (and there is not enough of it to make that very profitable !)

Prudence Sarah was not what I had expected, but that is part of the fun of this line of research, so the next step is to work out who Prudence Sarah might be. Now that I have the name, I can recall my mother speaking of an "Auntie Pru" but had not applied it to the Barnes family !
