should add the wills are all on microfilm - you can do this (tho not as conveniently) via any LDS FHC - original wills are seldom produced and they are unavailable whilst being conserved prior to refilming.

Land records - you need search North side sales (a quite tedious process) but the index is also on Mormon microfilm (probably better shape than the now abused paper copy in the museum though they, at my prodding finally located the original indices (dating from early 19th C) and are debating producing a new copy from these) - there are some 6500+ deeds upto c.1800 in NSS (somewhat more in SSS) - I've started on an index but it will be on CD Rom at first - some idea can be seen by looking up property records in the various parishes on ManxNoteBook
