Jean, I think you are premature in deciding that John, husband of Margaret Corrin, is the son of Henry Skillicorn and Margaret Fargher.
You could well be chasing the wrong John Skillicorn.
There were FOUR John Skillicorns baptized in Lonan between 1765 and 1767, any one of whom could be the "right" John Skillicorn, as none has been eliminated by positively linking them with another family.
All we know for sure about John, the husband of Margaret Corrin, is that he was "age 47" at the time of his death in 1813. Based on extensive research in this time period, I know that the "age 47" is a somewhat "flexible" age, and often the age stated is "off" by up to five years or so.
John, son of John bp October 18, 1765, so age 47 in 1813
John, son of Henry bp January 19, 1766, so age 47 in 1813
John, son of Henry, bp July 26, 1767, so age 45 in 1813
John, son of Thomas, bp June 28, 1767, so age 45 in 1813
There were two Henrys in Lonan in the 1760s, Henry husband of Margaret Fargher and Henry husband of Catherine Kermode.
Are you beginning to see how complicated it's getting?
Unless these four Johns can be linked to a parent through a marriage settlement, will, or property records, there is no way of knowing which John married Margaret Corrin.
It is very tempting to look at the dates and pick out someone "of the right age", but it's not that easy!
