Robert Joseph Hudson LEWIS, known as Joseph LEWIS, was born at Port St Mary on the Island in 1907. His mother was Edith HUDSON of Port St Mary. His father was Robert LEWIS of Staffordshire. His parents lived in Liverpool in 1911.

I have been told that Robert Joseph Hudson LEWIS died and was buried on the Island in either November 1996 or 1997. I have been to the Registry and looked right through from 1980 to 2008 without finding his death being registered on the Island.

Any ideas on how to find him? I suppose I could check likely burial yards in case he was brought back to the Island for burial... Has anyone got a 1996 telephone book? It would be nice to know if he ever did move back to the Island!
