Unless I am mistaken, the son Thomas Kaneen aged 4 living at Cly Clough, Lonan, could be the same person as Tom Alone, somewhat of an eccentric, I believe, who lived on the mountains close to the track between Laxey and Baldwin. He married one Mary Ann, known to my late Grandmother, who in younger days used to journey on foot across the mountains between her house in West Baldwin and her husbands above mentioned. To be in grandmother's memory would place this in the 1890's.
