Frances has identified the family correctly in the 1841 and 1851 censuses. This was Daniel Creer, weaver, son of John Creer and Isabel Fayle of the Ardwhallan Creer line. The 1851 census record indicates that Catherine was born in ca 1775 in Braddan. Surprisingly no further evidence of either John or Catherine is found after the 1851 census, no burial or census records on either the IOM or the mainland.

Some of their children are found in later censuses however.
