havn't got 1871 census but suspect he is son of John Witton(whetton etc) stone mason as he + wife eleanor (?elenor corrin married Rushen 18391109) are the only witton family in Castletown - the children baptised St Mary's where he is described as mason in register - an invalid widower mason back in Mill St in 1881 living alone (where they first set up house in 1841)
