I think that Jeremiah might also have been known in NZ as Daniel. The NZSG index on CDs has Daniel Clucas a farmer from Ashburton died 7 August 1909. Is this him? If so there is a will for him held at NZ Archives Christchurch branch. Filed date 2 Sept 1909. Ref. CAHX CH 171 6733, Probate no.6733. I don't think they charge NZ residents a search fee - just the photocopying cost.

The index also has a marriage in 1892, Folio 3674, for a Daniel Clucas to Hannah Russell Bennison. You will know whether this is the right one for him? Hannah Russell Clucas, widow of Ashburton, also has a will at Chch Archives, filed date 4 July 1940. Let me know if you want the ref.
