My paternal ancestors were born in the Isle of Man , leaving about 1842 to seek work in the Durham coalfield .
Thompson Nesbet was born in either 1840 or 1834, the son of Cathbert ( Cuthbert?) Nesbet born abt 1807 and Jane Nesbet born abt 1805.
