Hello. I know this posting is from 3 yrs. ago, but I'd like to add to the thread that someone on the ENG-CUMBRIA List provided information on the probable parents of Elizabeth QUAYLE.

She said that the parents were probably Edward QUAYLE and Mary POWE who married in Whitehaven, Cumberland, in 1819. This is the possible list of their children:

John QUAYLE b1822
Mary Ann QUAYLE b1823
William QUAYLE b1825
Isabella QUAYLE b1828
Elizabeth QUAYLE b1830
Julia QUAYLE b1832
Margaret QUAYLE b1835

(The researcher said that Julia QUAYLE married Thomas RAIN ~1860.)

P.S. I don't have any further information on Edward QUAYLE. So, I don't know if he was born in England or on the Isle of Man.
