Yes, there were many Manx in Chicago, and an active Manx Society. My great grandfather, Robert Richard Radcliffe, immigrated about 1854 and may have gone to Cleveland first, where he had "cousins". He was in Chicago later at the time of the Chicago Fire in 1871.
