but we all respected him.
I do have in my possession a little booklet printed for the School's Golden
Jubilee, 1929-1979,and the opening page states, '7th January 1929 School opened erected at a cost of £17.500, 210 scholars present. Mr E. Killip,BSc
Head Teacher and 8 other members of staff, all named. It carries on like a diary
mentioning the retirement of Mr E. Killip on the 30th April 1948,when he was presented with a lovely wrist watch!!
Mr Peter Hislop commenced duties as headmaster May 3rd 1948.
