My ancestor was Charles Forrest, a marine engineer who married Isabella Craine at Braddan, IOM, in the 1840s. All I know was that his father was born in Scotland in around 1822 and that he was also a marine engineer.

I'd love to here any information that you have on the Forrests and their connection with the IOM.
