Thanks Elizabeth - In the 1861 census is a John H. son to John James & Margaret ? - born after John James returned from Australia in the Vixen (he died 1863) - this John H is possibly the father - he appears in 1881 census as a lodger with Widow Elizabeth Cain whilst working as a ship carpenter
