I think you are looking for something that doesn't exist in Douglas - self-catering apartments are not that common (Port Erin + Santon Motel are the only two that come to mind, though I think there are some at Groudle - only the last is at all convenient convenient for Douglas) - many of the cheap B&B's in Douglas have gone, usually to become offices or flats) - pressure on accodation in Douglas has seen many 'tourist' accomodation turned into full-time accomodation.
