This discussion has been rearing its head ever since the early 1980s

The fact that the argument is still around after over 20 years speaks for itself that the members would like their magazines dated by the month of each issue and that being so I am sure there will be no problem about the extra cost per issue if the members feel it to be that important.

The IOMFHS is the only Society that I know of that does not have its magazine dated on the cover. Not all members have binders nor desire them.

Cost saving is admirable however it should be balanced with members wishes and convenience also.
