I have a William Henry Quayle, shown as 8 on 1851 census for Lezayre (my great-great grandfather), married Anne Tomlinson (b.Mosspor, Cheshire.) Appears on 1871 census for Lonan, aged 28, wife Anne, 27. Children Elizabethe Jane ( my great grandmother) age 5, Philip (a repeated family name) age 2, and Jessie, age 9 months. I believe William was dead by 1872, his wife left the island for Barrow in Furness and appears on the 1881, 91,1901 census' in Barrow in Furness. I can trace Anne, Elizabeth Jane and Jessie through to 1901 but cannot find any records for Philip after 1881. Could this family be connected to your Quayle? I believe William Henry was the son of John & Jane Quayle who are aged 49 & 44 respectively in the 1851 census for Lezayre district 6, schedule 6.
