If they were married on the Island request (for a fee) a copy of the the marriage cert from general registry (civil@registry.gov.im)

There may have been a brief death notice in local paper but you will need to search these personally (or pay someone to do so) - if he or she played a larger part in local community then there may be a bigger spread
